Ballarini cookware has been around for more than 120 years. You’ve probably heard of the parent company, Zwilling J.A. Henckels? They are known for their awesome German knives.
This is actually one of the oldest cookware brands in the world, and the quality speaks for itself. Their cookware is not super popular, but it should be. It’s crafted with the same attention to detail as the knives.
Our Ballarini cookware reviews will cover everything you need to know…
You really can’t go far wrong with any of the pieces. However, there’s a lot of choices out there, and it can get a little confusing trying to narrow it down.
Your everyday cookware should be something you love. So, let’s take a closer look at some popular options to see, which is the right option for you…

Ballarini Parma Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set – Best Affordable Ballarini Cookware Set
First up in our Ballarini Cookware reviews is the Ballarini Parma Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set. You’ll be whipping up scrumptious meals in no time.
There are a total of ten pieces in the set. It includes 8” and 10” fry pans, 1.5-quart and 2.8-quart saucepans, a 2.9-quart sauté pan, and a 4.8-quart dutch oven. Everything except the fry pans comes with a lid.
Is Ballarini cookware safe?
Many people are concerned about the chemicals in their kitchenware. This makes sense because you’re probably using them every day.
These pots and pans are made of cold-forged aluminum, with a Granitium non-stick coating, which is incredibly pure. Hopefully, this will provide you with some peace of mind.
No hotspots…
The purity of the cookware also helps it heat up quickly and evenly. There won’t be any annoying hotspots. Your wrists will thank you too because it’s relatively lightweight.
The PFOA-free non-stick coating is also worth noting. It’s pretty much made of stone, so it’s top-of-the-line when it comes to durability. Both metal and forks won’t cause any scratching, but it should be washed by hand.
That’s not all…
These pieces are designed for everyday use. A few other details have been added with their functionality in mind.
The entire Ballarini Cookware line is made in Italy. It really has an authentic feel, and you’ll be embodying the Italian tradition of bonding over the table.
Keep your cool…
The handles are comfortable and stay cool to the touch. There’s also a unique Thermopoint indicator where they meet with the base. It turns green when the cookware is cool and red when it’s hot.
The set is oven-safe up to 300 °F. As a result, it’s also compatible with gas, electric, and even glass stovetops. The lids are made of glass and give you a clear view of the food while it’s cooking.
PROS
- An affordable set.
- Heat spreads evenly.
- Can be used with all utensils.
- Attractive speckled color.
CONS
- Difficult to keep clean.
- Lids do not seal.
- Will scratch if stacked.
2.
Ballarini Como Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set – Best Premium Ballarini Cookware Set
This Ballarini cookware set is fairly similar to the one we just looked at. You should pick one because it’s overkill to buy both.
These pots and pans are also meant for heavy use and can do most of your everyday cooking. However, there are some key differences, which is why this option is a little more expensive. The Ballarini Como Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set also includes ten pieces. They are all the same sizes and have the same lid configurations.
A little bit thicker…
The biggest difference is the thickness of the aluminum. This set is made with cold-forged aluminum, just like the last. It has a thickness of 4.6 mm, though, rather than 4.0 mm. The heftier aluminum heats up just as evenly as the thinner one, but it takes a little longer. Most importantly, it holds heat better. Some people find they prefer the increased weight, too.
This could also be the best cookware set if you’re looking for a different non-stick coating. It uses a triple-layer of Keravis Plus, which performs slightly better than the last. The coating is all-around a pleasure to use. It’s easy to wipe off between dishes and doesn’t need a deep cleaning very often. It’s also dishwasher-safe when you do want to sanitize things.
Premium convenience…
The Ballarini Como Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set has the same handles as the last option. The pieces won’t melt in the oven, as long as you keep it under 300 °F. In the same vein, they’re also safe and compatible with all stovetops.
One of the best things about Ballarini is its Thermopoint indicators. However, this set also has heat sensors on the handles. They turn red and green in the same fashion as mentioned previously.
Cooking comfort…
You might be concerned about the added weight of the thicker aluminum, but there’s nothing to worry about. This set is comfortable to use and won’t strain your arms. Many people find it’s worth the extra price.
PROS
- Heats up well.
- Slick coating.
- Very scratch-resistant.
- Can be put in the dishwasher.
CONS
- Again, no rims on the lids.
- More expensive.
3.
Ballarini Parma Forged Aluminum Nonstick Fry Pan – Best Ballarini Frying Pan
Full cookware sets aren’t always practical investments. They may not fit into your budget. Or, perhaps you need to fill some holes in a collection you already have.
The Ballarini Parma Forged Aluminum Nonstick Fry Pan is included in the first set. It’s the 8” fry pan with no lid (because the company doesn’t make one).
Everything you need…
There’s obviously a lot of differing opinions on the most-used piece of cookware. However, fry pans are always in the running. This size is perfect for one person.
This could be the best non-stick pan if you’re looking for versatility. You’ll probably find yourself reaching for it more than anything else you own. You could probably use it for every meal of the day.
Excellent for searing…
The fry pan’s flared sides mean moisture evaporates quickly from the surface as food cooks. It’s the top choice for getting a nice sear on chicken or browning some ground beef.
The aluminum construction eliminates waiting because it heats up so fast. In addition, the sensor on the handle takes the guesswork out of knowing when the pan’s ready. All the worst parts of cooking have been addressed.
But, there’s a catch…
The Ballarini Parma Forged Aluminum Nonstick Fry Pan has a hard plastic handle. The ergonomic shape simply makes it tolerable. However, it’s certainly not the most comfortable choice out there.
We noted before the handles on these pans stay cool to the touch. Plus, they can be used with a range of cooktops. Use one of the best oven mitts if you put the frying pan in the oven, though, to avoid burning yourself.
Handwash only…
We also love that you don’t need to use special utensils with the Granitium non-stick coating. However, remember to wash it by hand. It will get damaged in the dishwasher, and the Ballarini cookware warranty doesn’t cover that.
PROS
- Strong non-stick coating.
- A multi-purpose pan.
- Budget-friendly.
- Compatible with all cooktops.
CONS
- No lid available.
- Needs to be washed by hand.
4.
Ballarini Parma Forged Aluminum Nonstick Sauté Pan with Lid – Best Ballarini Saucepan
Last up on our list is the Ballarini Parma Forged Aluminum Nonstick Sauté Pan with Lid. This one is also included in the first set. Let’s see why it may be the right choice if you’re in the market for a single pan.
Keep it juicy…
Sauté pans have many uses. They’re a hidden gem, which many people underestimate. We mentioned before this line is made in Italy, and coincidentally these pans are especially well-suited for Italian cooking.
This pan is taller than a frying pan, with straight 5.8” sides. It also comes with a lid. It’s much more efficient at locking in moisture.
Just the right size…
The pan has a 2.9-quart capacity, which gives you plenty of space to work with. The wide, flat bottom has a 10” diameter, so there’s lots of contact with the heat. It perfectly fits two chicken thighs.
The cold-forged aluminum also helps ensure heat spreads evenly. It’s an excellent pan for boiling down some risotto. You can use it for frying first before you add the liquid ingredients.
What’s the real story?
This pan has the exact same construction as the one we just looked at. Therefore, you should also wash it by hand. The Granitium non-stick coating is robust when it comes to scratches, but it can’t handle the dishwasher.
Both the pan and the lid can be placed in the oven. The aluminum doesn’t pose a problem, and the plastic won’t melt off. Be careful when you’re taking it out, though.
Thermopoint indicator…
The handle is the same material and shape as the others in the set. However, it’s better on this pan because you’re not using it as much.
The Thermopoint indicator is still a nice feature. In addition, the handle is 6.8” long, keeping you far away from potential splatters.
PROS
- Large capacity.
- Comes with a lid.
- Sturdy yet lightweight.
CONS
- Can’t be put in the dishwasher.
- Expensive for a single pan.
- May arrive damaged.

Ballarini Como Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set
Buying a lot of pots and pans is always an investment, and this set is worth the extra money. You want to make sure you actually enjoy using them. This cookware set covers all the basic needs. Furthermore, the thick aluminum has a premium feel to it. The smooth black surfaces stay that way, and the glass lids are timeless.
The other options definitely perform well, but this is the only cookware that can be put in the dishwasher. The non-stick coating doesn’t need any special treatment either. It’s one last thing to worry about at the end of a long day.
Happy cooking!
