Since then, they have developed their reputation throughout the United States, bringing them to the forefront of cookware manufacture.

But choosing the right items for your kitchen isn’t always easy!

So we’ve decided to give your our opinion in our in-depth Tramontina cookware reviews, so you can find the perfect pots for your next dinner party…

The Best Tramontina Cookware Reviews

1. Tramontina Professional Fry Pans (12-inch) – Best Aluminum Tramontina Frypan

Tramontina Professional Fry Pans (12-inch) – Best Aluminum Tramontina Frypan

Let’s kick things off with this Tramontina fry pan. At 12-inches, it’s the perfect size for most home cooks. Whether sautéing, searing, or scrambling, there’s enough space for every ingredient you need.

What is it made from?

Commercial-grade aluminum is used here. That’s a professional quality material, and it’s NSF-certified, for total peace of mind.

That aluminum is non-stick. This makes cooking easy! It ensures food won’t catch on the bottom of the pan, leaving a mess behind.

Out of the frying pan… and into the fire…

What’s more, it can be used with almost any style of hob. Gas, ceramic, electric; this pan is suitable for them all. It can even be placed in the oven at temperatures up to 400°F.

But, it cannot be used with an induction stove. Unfortunately, it will prevent the current from being generated. You’ll need to look elsewhere if using this kind of appliance.

Are there any other downsides?

Well, it’s worth remembering that non-stick pans shouldn’t be used for every kind of food! They’re ideal for ingredients such as eggs. But they aren’t the best choice for getting a nice char on the outside of a steak.

And this item does have a tendency to warp. That metal is strong, but it can develop some flexible qualities. Constant use can increase the chance of this happening.

However…

But thanks to the lifetime guarantee, that doesn’t really matter! Any problems and Tramontina will solve them. All that, and at a reasonable price, too.

PROS

  • NSF-certified.
  • Lifetime-guarantee.
  • Non-stick.

CONS

  • The aluminum can bend.

2. Tramontina 80116/249DS Gourmet Stainless Steel – Best Comprehensive Tramontina Cookware Set

Tramontina 80116, 249DS Gourmet Stainless Steel – Best Comprehensive Tramontina Cookware Set

Next up in our Tramontina cookware reviews, how about we take a look at this Tramontina cookware set? Containing a whopping 12 separate items, there’s a pan here for every occasion.

What exactly is included?

Firstly, we get two frying pans of different sizes. Then, there are three saucepans, measuring 1.5, 2, and 3-quart. Finally, there’s a 5 quart sauté pan and a massive 8-quart stockpot.

And apart from the frying pans, they all have lids. Perfectly fitted, they make sure that any moisture stays on the inside. Each comes with a riveted handle for ease of use in the kitchen.

Are they non-stick?

No, they’re not. These pans are made from stainless steel. This material needs a little lubrication to prevent any food from catching.

But, that means they can be used with a wider variety of ingredients! After all, non-stick pans shouldn’t be used every time. This cookware set can make all kinds of dishes, from hearty soups to juicy pork chops.

There’s another positive when it comes to their construction too. Underneath that top layer is an aluminum core, supported by a magnetic base.

Why does this matter?

Because it means it’s suitable for an induction stove! These pans can be used in every kitchen. They’re even oven-safe, for when you want to prepare a perfect pot roast.

That sounds great! What’s the catch?

They have a pretty high price tag! Sure, this may be some of the best stainless steel cookware we’ve seen, but it comes at a cost. Chefs on a budget, you might want to look elsewhere!

PROS
  • Great range of pans.
  • Induction and oven-friendly.
  • Sturdy construction.

CONS

  • Pricey!

3. Tramontina 80131/075DS Enameled Cast Iron Covered Round Dutch Oven – Best Cast Iron Tramontina Dutch Oven

Our next product can do it all. Baking bread, simmering stews, sweating vegetables; there’s nothing this baby can’t handle. So, what is it?

A dutch oven, of course!

We love dutch ovens. They’re such versatile pieces of equipment. If we had to pick just one kind of pan to have, this would be our first choice every time.

This Tramontina dutch oven is constructed from cast iron. That is then coated with porcelain enamel. Both materials are PFOA-free, meaning there’s no risk of nasty chemicals leaching into the food.

Why are two materials used?

Because they each have different properties, the cast iron ensures even distribution of heat and maintains the temperature for longer. The enamel makes it easy to clean, as burnt-on food can be simply wiped off.

There’s another benefit to the enamel too. As most chefs will know, cast iron can be tricky to work with. It requires seasoning and can’t be used with some cleaning products.

The enamel puts an end to that. There’s no need to spend hours getting the seasoning just right. This coating means we get all the benefits of cast iron, with none of the hassles!

Sounds too good to be true! Is it?

Well, there is one other issue with using cast iron. It is seriously heavy! Those with weaker wrists or joint problems may have trouble moving the pot about.

But that’s a minor criticism. There’s a lot to like here. And considering the quality on offer, it’s a pretty reasonable price, too.

PROS

  • Easy cleaning.
  • Moisture-retaining lid.
  • Even heat distribution.

CONS

  • Weighty!

4. Tramontina 80131/058DS Enameled Cast Iron Covered Skillet – Best Tramontina Skillet

Tramontina 80131. 058DS Enameled Cast Iron Covered Skillet – Best Tramontina Skillet

With its striking red finish, our next pan is an eye-catching piece! It’s likely to be a talking point when displayed in any home kitchen. And its gradated finish just adds to its old-school charm.

Lady in red…

This time, we have a skillet. With a 12-inch diameter, it’s an excellent size that will fit conveniently on most stovetops. And as it’s constructed from cast iron, we get an even temperature throughout.

Is cast iron the best cooking material?

When backed up by enamel, we think so! And luckily, that’s the case here. The enamel layer means we don’t have to put up with any of the negative qualities that come with using cast iron.

And another fantastic side to this material blend is that it can be used with an induction stove. That’s not the case with many pieces of cookware, so this feature is a real bonus. And even better, it can be used in the oven too, as it’s safe up to 450°F.

What’s our favorite thing about this skillet?

Surprisingly, it’s the lid! This one has self-basting ridges. They collect the condensation that comes from the food and return them to the pan, making sure your dish stays moist.

And on the top, we find a stainless steel knob. Its ergonomic design makes it incredibly easy to hold. Plus, stainless steel is durable and robust, removing the risk of cracking or breaking.

Bit of a heavy-weight again…

OK, at almost 13 pounds, it’s not a lightweight piece of kit. However, if that’s the only downside, then this has to be a pretty great pan! It’s sturdy, it’s versatile, and it looks incredible.

And did we mention this skillet comes with a lifetime guarantee?

PROS
  • Fantastic construction
  • Perfect size.
  • Stunning looks.

CONS

  • Extremely heavy!

5. Tramontina 80110/044DS Style Ceramica 01 Fry Pan – Best Dishwasher Safe Tramontina Frypan

Tramontina 80110. 044DS Style Ceramica 01 Fry Pan – Best Dishwasher Safe Tramontina Frypan

Now we come to another Tramontina fry pan. This time we get a stylish copper finish. Its attractive, burnished hues add a real touch of class to the stovetop or kitchen counter.

Once again, it’s a non-stick pan. As you’ll probably know, many non-stick pans are constructed from aluminum. But this one uses ceramic.

Is that a good thing?

It sure is! Ceramic is one of the best cooking materials for health. It’s cadmium and lead-free and doesn’t contain any horrible PFTEs or PFTOs either.

And ceramic is compatible with most cooking surfaces. Whether baking in the oven or frying over a fire, this pan has you covered. Plus, it’s dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning.

It’s not all ceramic, though. There’s some stainless steel here, too. And we can find it in the handle.

Tough enough to withstand high temperatures, this material is strong and unyielding. It’s covered by a layer of silicone, as well. That makes it easier to hold, as this soft grip fits snugly in the palm of the hand, thanks to its ergonomic design.

What’s the catch?

Like some other pans we’ve seen, it cannot be used on an induction hob. There’s no way for it to conduct the heat. If you don’t have an electric or gas stove, then it’s not the right choice.

And it would have been so awesome to have a lid. Frypans don’t always have them, but they’re really useful things to have. So it would be better to have one included, as buying a lid separately can bump up the price.

PROS

  • Free from chemicals.
  • Excellent handle and grip.
  • Beautiful finish.
  • Dishwasher safe.

CONS

  • Lid not included.
  • Incompatible with induction stoves.

6. Tramontina 80110/219DS Style Ceramica_01 8 Piece Cookware Set – Best Tramontina Cookware Set for Small Kitchens

Tramontina 80110. 219DS Style Ceramica_01 8 Piece Cookware Set – Best Tramontina Cookware Set for Small Kitchens

Our penultimate item is another collection of pans. This time we get eight separate items.

Could this be the best small cookware set around?

Once again, we find our old friend ceramic in use here. Each interior is coated with a solid layer of the good stuff. And on the outside, we find a sturdy enamel over the top of trusty aluminum.

What kind of pans come in this set?

A 5-quart Dutch oven leads the way. That’s followed closely by a pair of saucepans, a 1.5 quart, and a 3-quart option. Then there are two fry pans, measuring 8 and 10 inches, respectively.

The fry pans don’t come with lids, which is a little annoying. But all the others do. They’re made from tempered glass, so we can keep a close eye on the food as it cooks.

We love the range on offer with this collection. There are enough items included to cover almost any culinary situation. But it’s not an overwhelming number of pots, so it’s excellent for kitchenettes in tiny apartments.

What else?

Well, it will likely come as no surprise to discover that they’re not suitable for use with an induction cooker. That’s not unusual. If you do use an induction, we’d recommend seeking a pan that’s specifically designed for this type of stove.

But aside from that, there are very few downsides to this Tramontina cookware set. It has a lot to offer for a very wallet-friendly price. With this product, you get a serious amount of bang for your buck.

PROS

  • Five pot and pan set.
  • Lids included.
  • Awesome price.

CONS

  • Electric or gas stoves only. No induction.

7. Tramontina 80117/576DS Pro-Line Stainless Steel Covered Dutch Oven – Best Stainless Steel Tramontina Dutch Oven

Tramontina 80117. 576DS Pro-Line Stainless Steel Covered Dutch Oven – Best Stainless Steel Tramontina Dutch Oven

Finally, we arrive at the last item in our Tramontina cookware reviews. And it’s our old favorite, the Dutch oven! Can this one compete with those we saw earlier?

Going Dutch…

Here we get tri-ply stainless steel construction. This hardy metal promises first-rate durability and won’t buckle or bend if accidentally dropped. It also provides fantastic heat distribution, allowing an evenly spread temperature throughout the dish.

At 9 quarts, it’s an ample size. It can be used to cook a meal for a family of four, with room to spare. And for single people or couples, it’s ideal for preparing large batch meals in advance.

Does it come with a lid?

Happily, yes. And it’s a tight fit. It will prevent steam from escaping, keeping a stew nice and moist.

And what’s more, that lid is topped with a solid handle. It’s plenty big enough to slide the fingers under, making lifting it a piece of cake. There are even two smaller side handles for balance when picking up the entire pot.

Can it be used with an induction hob?

Yes! We’re pleased to say it can. Stainless steel is the perfect material for this, so for those with induction cookers, this could be the pot for you.

It isn’t the most beautiful piece of cookware we’ve seen. It looks a bit industrial and lacks that homely feel we get with other materials and colors. But we can’t deny, it sure does do a great job!

PROS

  • Induction-compatible.
  • Large volume.
  • Oven-safe.

CONS

  • Unattractive looks.

Final Thoughts

When we’re talking about the best cookware brands, Tramontina is often one of the first names mentioned. As we saw here, they produce some incredible pieces of equipment for the kitchen. But there can only be one winner. And we’ve picked the…

The intelligent selection of cookware is what sets this ahead of its competitors. The versatility it provides is impossible to beat. Combined with that fantastic price and lifetime warranty, this item offers an excellent range of pans, as well as great value for money.

Plus, its stunning good looks are just the icing on the cake!
