For the Wings

  • 1 lb (454 g) chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons (56 g) salted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons (23 g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 3 tablespoons (12 g) fresh parsley, chopped and divided


Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray the basket with oil.
  • Add the chicken wings to a large bowl with the avocado oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 12 minutes.
  • Flip the wings and cook for another 10 minutes, or until golden, crisp, and cooked through. The chicken should reach 165°F (74°C) internally.
  • While the wings cook, melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, stirring continuously, until fragrant. Do not let it brown.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of Parmesan and 2 tablespoons of parsley.
  • Remove the sauce from the heat.
  • Transfer the cooked wings to a large bowl and pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over them.
  • Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan and parsley.
  • Serve immediately.
