Cooking salmon inside a foil packet is wonderful because it keeps the fish juicy. It also keeps the cleanup to a minimum because the foil acts as a barrier between your food and your air fryer. You will love cooking salmon and asparagus together because the flavors complement each other so well, and they both cook in the same amount of time.

Serves 4
- 1 (¾-pound) bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2" pieces
- 4 (1"-thick, 6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 1 teaspoon salt, divided
- 4 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 4 teaspoons sesame seeds, divided
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon ginger powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground white pepper
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1. Preheat air fryer to 425°F.
2. Season asparagus and salmon with ½ teaspoon salt. Divide asparagus evenly among four (16"-square) pieces of foil. Top each set of asparagus with 1 salmon fillet. Fold up all four sides of foil so the foil makes a bowl.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, garlic powder, ginger powder, white pepper, red pepper flakes, and remaining ½ teaspoon salt. Pour sauce over each salmon packet and fold foil to close.
4. Place foil packets inside air fryer in a single layer.
5. Air fry 16 minutes. Salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
6. Remove salmon and asparagus from foil. Sprinkle salmon with remaining 2 teaspoons sesame seeds and serve.
