Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet Recipe by Aileen Clark

White Cheddar macaroni and cheese is made with a combination of white Cheddar cheese and Gruyère cheese. The noodles cook directly in the air fryer in a combination of water and heavy cream. When the casserole first comes out of the oven, it may seem a bit watery. Simply let it sit for a few minutes. The sauce will thicken as it cools. Garnish with parsley for some extra flavor.

Serves 4

  • 1 ½ cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded white Cheddar cheese, divided
  • ½ cup Gruyère cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

1. Preheat air fryer to 360°F. Spray the inside of a 7" cake pan with olive oil spray and set aside.

2. In a large bowl, combine macaroni, water, heavy cream, ½ cup white Cheddar cheese, Gruyère cheese, salt, and pepper. Pour macaroni mixture into prepared cake pan.

3. Place cake pan inside air fryer and air fry 22 minutes. Sprinkle remaining ½ cup white Cheddar cheese over casserole and air fry an additional 3 minutes or until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.

4. Remove from air fryer and let cool 10 minutes. Serve.


You can customize this casserole very easily! The recipe calls for the pasta to be precooked, so any cooked pasta will work, including penne, rigatoni, or farfalle.
