Air Fryer Naan Pizzas Recipe by Aileen Clark

These easy pizzas are made with flavorful naan and topped with a delicious combination of pizza sauce, mushrooms, and baby spinach. They are air fried with a combination of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Serve with the Chickpea No-Meat Balls from earlier in this chapter for a nice pairing.

Hands-On Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes (per batch plus 2 minutes to air fry naan)

Serves 4

  • 4 (10") pieces naan
  • ¾ cup pizza sauce
  • ½ cup chopped baby spinach
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 white mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1. Preheat air fryer to 370°F.

2. Place naan inside air fryer and air fry 2 minutes or until slightly crispy.

3. Spread pizza sauce over top of each piece of naan, leaving a ¼" border. Top sauce with baby spinach, followed by mozzarella cheese and then mushrooms. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over each pizza.

4. Carefully place pizzas inside air fryer (you may need to work in batches). Air fry 5 minutes.

5. Remove from air fryer, sprinkle with red pepper flakes, and serve.


Naan is an oven-baked flatbread that originated in Asia. It’s similar to a tortilla, but it is made with yeast and is slightly thicker.
