Air Fryer Scotch Eggs Recipe

Air Fryer Scotch Eggs Recipe

These Scotch eggs are amazing right out of the air fryer when they’re hot, but I also love eating them cold for a snack before a soccer or baseball game.

  • 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 hard-boiled large eggs
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • ¾ cup crushed cornflakes

1. Preheat air fryer to 400°. Divide sausage into 6 portions; flatten and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Shape each portion around a peeled hard-boiled egg. Roll in beaten egg, then in cornflake crumbs.

2. Place in a single layer on greased tray in air-fryer basket. Cook until meat is no longer pink, turning halfway through, 12-15 minutes.

1 egg: 313 cal., 22g fat (7g sat. fat), 258mg chol., 614mg sod., 11g carb. (2g sugars, 0 fiber), 17g pro.

TEST KITCHEN TIP: It’s traditional to serve Scotch eggs with a dipping sauce—in Britain, it’s most often a spicy mustard-based sauce. But you can pair them with your own preferred sauce as well.
