Air Fryer Kale Chips Recipe

Air Fryer Kale Chips Recipe

Harvesttime means big bunches of kale from local farmers. These crunchy kale chips are delicious, super healthy and easy to make. I season them to take the flavor up a notch. For extra zip, add a dash of cayenne pepper.

PREP: 10 MIN.

COOK: 5 MIN./BATCH

MAKES: 4 SERVINGS

  • 1 bunch kale, washed
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 to 3 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning
  • Sea salt, to taste

1. Preheat air fryer to 375°. Remove tough stems from kale and tear leaves into large pieces. Place in a large bowl. Add olive oil and massage into leaves, coating evenly. Sprinkle kale with seasoning and salt. In batches, arrange leaves in a single layer on greased tray in air-fryer basket.

2. Cook until crisp and just starting to brown, 5-7 minutes. Let stand at least 5 minutes before serving.

Air-frying Tip

Depending on the type of air fryer you’re using, you may need only a light spritz of cooking spray on the bottom grate to help the food brown. however, if you find your food sticking, reapply the spray in between batches.
